I was always curious about some the errors and variations from the 80s, when I was actively buying packs and sets. They always seemed to be impossible or ridiculously expensive. Now that those cards have settled quite a bit, some still have a following, but most are much cheaper and easier to find, especially with the internet. Still, some you don't see as often as you'd expect.
There were the White Letter Comstock, the "Craig" Nettles Fleer, the 5'1" Hrbosky, the reverse negative Dale Murphy, etc.
Today I was scrounging in the quarter box when I came across one that still has a pretty high BV (a "recent" annual had it listed for $25!), although I am not sure anyone would actually pay that kind of money for one. I had never seen one in person and thought..."why not for a quarter".
1989 Fleer Jeff Treadway "Target" card.
