EX2001 cards discoloration question (clear plastic turned to yellow)

Does anybody have any 2001 EX-2001 football cards where the clear plastic has discolored? I have one where the plastic seems to have turned yellow. I believe all of these were clear when they were new.

Any ideas? Can the clear plastic be cleaned to make it clear again?

I've had that happen on mid 90s studio and fleer acetate/plastic inserts too. Sucks. I have never tried to do anything with them and there doesn't seem to be a reason for it (such as light or smoke exposure, since none of my cards have that issue).

Thanks for your feedback. I was even thinking of trying a Mr. Clean eraser on the acetate but am not sure if that would damage the card or not.
