My favorite item that i have gotten autographed is a bat that i've gotten different Atlanta Braves Greats on... So far my bat has these guys on it:

Phil Niekro (obtained at an alumni sunday at turner field in '09)

Dale Murphy (obtained at a Mississippi Braves apperance in Jackson MS in '09)

Chipper Jones (obtained at spring training in '10)

John Schuerholz (hope he makes HOF as an executive, obtained at spring training '10)

Terry Pendleton (was a little iffy about adding him but he did win NL MVP with the Braves, obtained at Braves Alumni weekend in '11)

Tom Glavine (obtained at Braves Alumni weekend in '11)

Its been a few years in the making but is shaping up to be a really nice piece. My shortlist on who i would love to add to it is Hank Aaron (yea right), Greg Maddux (yea right), Bobby Cox, John Smoltz, Andruw Jones, and Brian McCann...

Lets hear you favorite pieces
Thanks
Nate

Probably mine that has the most sentimental value is my Houston Astros Hat with Lance Berkman, Billy Wagner, Brad Ausmus, Carlos Hernandez, and Adam Everett signature on it. I remember being young around 2000 and being so excited to get my hat signed.

This is by far and away my favorite. It was the first time I met Kirby in January of 1987. Little did my friends and I know that by October of that year Puckett and the rest of the members on that team would be held in such high regard in MN Sports history. He had come to town with the Winter Caravan and the local Legion supporter set up a seperate signing with Kirby at his furnature store for that night. (Puck would come to Winona at least 3 more time on the caravan but this was the only time that they did it like this). It wa also cool because several months after the signing my mom and I were at the clinic and up on the wall in the lobby area was a picture of Kirby signing THIS photo for me. (I also like it because it's closer to the facsimile signature on the bottom of the page, and cooler that his later signature)

Do either of you have photos of these?

My favorite IP is a ROMLB signed by Sgt Slaughter that I got at a baseball old timers game this year. Sarge included a little drawing of himself in army hat with his beautiful sig across the sweet spot. He was there to promote this past wrestlemania and to give an award to a navy veteran. He wasnt announced to be there so a ball was all I had for him to sign, and it turned out great!!!

2 years ago I got a foul ball from Will Middlebrooks in Salem on a third out. He then signed it for me after the game and since I was there for my birthday he gave me his broken bat. Didn't have a sharpie at the time but the bat does have his name engraved on it. It's still one of the prize pieces of my collection. My other is a 8x10 of Gail Harris sliding into home with Yogi catching the throw. Mr. Harris hit the last homerun for the NY Giants.

Not sure if this counts because I didn't get it. My grandparents gave me a pamphlet from a baseball awards banquet in Minneapolis during the 60s or 70s signed by Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, Harmon Killebrew, Blyleven, Rich Reese and Bill Rigney. That will never leave my collection.

I have not had a ton of IP opportunities, but I'd say the one that comes to mind for me as the favorite:

Meeting Steve Garvey at the AS Fan Fest in 2001.

I was able to get a few greats at various signings over the years (Feller, Slaughter, Gaylord Perry, Bob Gibson) and at the ballpark (Rice, Yastrzemski, Murray, Palmer, etc).

Perhaps my best "haul" was from an Equitible Old Timers Game in Seattle in the 80s. I must have grabbed between 15-20 old timers that night. Highlights included John Roseboro, Ron Santo, Joe Torre, Bill Skowron, etc.

Bar none, my Willie, Mickey and the Duke baseball (I just happened to get them in that order too). It's somewhere in my Bucket if you feel adventurous enough to search for it :)\

A friend of mine used to go to Cooperstown for induction weekend every year. Way back when they used to have a bunch of free signings. He got a couple of these over the years and gave me one...

Also... went to the Syracuse Chiefs game tonight and my son got a 2003 card of Mark Prior auto'd (Pawtucket). It's a new fave because of the conversation we had afterward about how good Prior was. He just turned 9 and had never heard of him. Told him how Prior was Strasburg 10 years ago!!

Thanks,
Adam
