First post in a thread

Sorry if this has been discussed already, but I haven't been here as often as I used to.

With the re-designed site, I have noticed the first post on each thread has an ad next to it. This results in

the first page
looking like this
with the ad next
to the first post.
This goes on all
the way down
the post until
it ends. The follow-
up posts all show
up normally. Is
this just me or do
I have to do
something so the
first post in each
thread doesn't look
like this? Very annoying.
When the first post
in a thread is long
this goes on like
this forever.

I do not see what you are describing. No ads near the first post. What are the ads?

I just figured it out. If I don't log in, I see the ads. If I am logged in, the page looks normal. So, I just need to always log in even when not posting anything.
