I attended game 3 today of the series. That Fullerton club is very impressive and now 7-0 after a sweep of the Horned Frogs. What wonderful weather(71 and sunny) and i was right behind home plate with all the scouts. I actually ended up sitting next to former big leaguer and current Midwest Supervisor of Scouting for the Royals, Mitch Webster. Of course, I had no idea he would be there and didn't have any cards for him.
Got the following:
Andrew Mitchell(i must have seen 30 guns pop up when he entered in the 9th.95-97 with an 83 hammer curve) 5/5 (1 each for Spencer and Arron
Shane Costa 4/4 (now a coach at Fullerton, seems to be enjoying the transition, 1 each for Spencer and Arron)
Michael Lorenzen(super nice kid, told me he'd sign after the game and came right up to me when it was done) 5/5 (2 for Arron)
Also got customs signed by Chad Wallach(Tim's son) Thomas Eschelman, Justin Garza(stud freshman pitcher) Matt Chapman and a few others. Only one I missed out on was TCU coach Kirk Saarloos but after they got swept to fall to 0-6 on the year, I didn't want to wait around after what I assumed would be a lengthy a** chewing session. There will be other times. Did get Kevin Cron on a program.
