Giancarlo Stanton Question

Among the general ways of organizing a collection is alphabetical. No problem, until a player changes his name. Since Mike Stanton changed his name to Giancarlo Stanton, how are you organizing your Excel Files? Is everything now under G? Are they split between G and M?

I'm splitting them, but wanted to know how you are doing it.

Alphabetical by last name, not first.

Same here. When I alphabetize, it's by last name, not first, so there would be no change in this case.

Now take a case like Cassius Clay/Muhammad Ali or Bobby Moore/Ahmad Rashad. You'd need to fit those.

I would list all of them as Giancarlo (Mike) Stanton if you can. That way they are all in the same area.

Thanks all. For now, they'll be in my Marlins section under Stanton. The G ones will come first, then the Mikes.
