As far as I can gather, it seems the odds on pulling one were 1 in 5 CASES. Wow. That could be wrong, but sounds about right.

That sounds just about right. I had a friend back in the day who quit collecting after buying a couple cases and not hitting a single Elite. He was even more pissed a year later or so, when I pulled an Elite Ripken Jr auto at the local ****** mart. manoman. Used up all my pack pull mojo at the tender age of 15.
