I thought about this here for a little while now. Would the Bench be interested in doing feedback transfers from other forums that members frequent? I know Blowout doesn't but SCF does which helps eliminates waiting to get the required number of trades done. A lot of times you can judge traders by their feedback from the other forums they frequent. This is just my mind working overtime so please don't be rude or mean to me lol. Anyways thanks for reading & any consideration.

personally i would not be in favor of that.....from my own experiences , i think trading is/has been better/safer here than most other sites and i dare say the policy of making you earn your stripes here is definitely a contributing factor....

I firmly believe that our policy of requiring new traders to "earn their stripes" is a heavy deterrent to scammers and bad traders. To an honest trader, 20 trades is not unreasonable and sometimes very easy to achieve. Scammers are generally impatient and either cannot meet the requirement or complain about it.

Basically, our policy works. I do not think this will change any time soon.

Thanks,

I have thought about this also and have wondered if some special cases may be considered. I for one do not trade on any other sites but I know a lot of guys on here do. Maybe if they can get recommendations from other members on here that could be taken in to consideration. I also know that would probably open up a LOT of debate about some people being treated better than others. Mr. Flanagan and I do not disagree about many things but I do think that this is something that could possibly be discussed between the moderators here. Please do not get me wrong in thinking that I would want things to change drastically. I am just looking at it from the point of view of getting more members and increasing traffic here. Hopefully I do not get blasted by the members here. Just adding my opinion.

PS: I will be attending the Shriner's Show again this year John and hopefully we can finally meet face to face this time!! I did hear your name called over the loud speaker last year and figured you were probably busy.

As One that doesn't generally get more than 10 trades a month, I used to be very much in favor of this idea because I spent my first 3 years online trading on Sportscardfun.com but this site isn't recognized even by Sportscardforum in transferring points. But as time has passed and I have generally backed off on my support of this because I do 95% of my trading on the Bench now and it has way fewer problem traders (IMO) than the first SCF I mentioned. I would suggest that anyone that is in support of transferring points from another site to stick it out a year or two on the Bench and build up some street cred. BTW, I still trade on Sportscardfun.com and it has a lot of wonderful and generous folks over there but I think the Bench is set up better, who can beat the Trade Manager? :)

Well like what was said in my opening post it was an idea & I wanted opinions. Thanks to all who gave theirs. For the anyone who says that some can't achieve it or are complaining about it they're wrong. I've been a member here since late 2010 & patiently went through the 20 of sending first with no problems or complaints & no pushing 40. Like mentioned before it was only an idea & my crazy mind working overtime. I too now do most of my trade here on the Bench because it seems here there is more a focus on baseball as opposed to blowout which mostly caters to football & SCF which mostly caters to hockey. Thanks again ya'all.

Been discussed before and it will not happen. You must earn your reputation while on the Bench.

Ahhh, this explains why I could never get any traction on Sportscardforum. Tried and tried, but barely made any trades...I do baseball almost exclusively and have zero hockey.

Don't get me wrong I done trades with baseball there but I think it's mostly hockey & football collectors there. I use to collect both football & baseball but now it's basically just baseball & here I found it to more of a baseball fans site plus I hate the P & R section on SCF lol.

My comment was aimed at the scammer type people. Typically they want immediate access so that they can make a bunch of sales, get paid, and then disappear. Remember, our policy is aimed to have people trade before they are allowed to sell. The selling part is usually where we have problems with scammers. They mostly are out for a buck, not a card.
Also, this is TheBenchTrading.com, so we feel that you should earn your right to sell by first trading with our members.
Believe me, the first and foremost thought in our stance on this is to keep our traders safe. Personally, from what I have seen and done behind the scenes, this site is head and shoulders above all others with the ferocity in which we deal with unwanted scammers. We just need the community's cooperation when we find them. And believe me, there is a lot of participation by our members.

Thanks for the questions. We appreciate it that you are thinking of ways to help the site.

Thanks,

Oh you guys definitely have it right & I have grown to love this site & enjoy it more. Myself & every other member appreciates that protection from scammers & the bad traders. Over the last year since my brain surgery I've been able to be more active on here & do more trading since I made a webs. The Bench is doing a great job of keeping this place good & clean from any troubles & I'm glad to be a member here.

I like the idea solely just to see what other forums us members are apart of and how many trades we have all done across all of them. I still have no problem having to prove my credibility on here as a new member to this forum (I have over 400 trades combined on Trading Card Central, Sports Card Forum, and Blowout). I think it would be neat to see how many trades each member here has on other sites, but still keep the "must send first" on the first 20 transactions here. So it wouldn't change how trading works on The Bench at all. Just my opinion. :)
