Anybody want to test out my new google tradelist? I uploaded my Excel file to Google and am hoping to use that as my tradelist.

I just want to make sure that I set the rights correctly so that anyone can look at the file, and that the link is to the correct file - the Excel version that can be filtered. I'd be very grateful if someone could test it out for me.

Thanks - dp

Great - thanks for testing it out for me. If you want to pm me your address, I have a few cards off your Twins wantlist for you. Thanks! dp

Worked for me, I used the search tool for random players and it worked.

Thanks! Unfortunately you probably didn't find anything you're looking for. I'll see if I can find something for you one way or another.

Duh, I wasn't even thinking trade, just trying to test your site out, I'll go back and look some more for a trade possibly. :)

Wow that is pretty cool. I keep all my tradelist in excel, might need to look into doing what you are doing.

Thanks,

Craig

Took a minute to figure out I had to change the view from "normal" to "list" but other than that I like it.

Initially opened it in Internet Explorer (old version) browser and it opened fine, however was very slow to navigate.

Tried again in Google Chrome and it opened quickly with smooth navigation.

Looks like a winner. I may try this for my insert wantlists.

Thanks everyone! It is kind of nice, but you do have to download a file that installs a "Google Drive" on your pc, and that is where you store your file. It then is supposed to automatically synch up with the one actually in your googledocs link. I haven't really tested that part yet, but it sounds like it should be fairly easy.

Mintman - where did you have to change the "view" at?

Top left there's "file" - "edit" - "view". Had to click on view and change to "list". I'm on IE so that could have formatted it differently than google chrome ?

I see that now - thanks. I'm on IE as well, and that is not really what I want everyone to have to do when they open it. I think I have it fixed now where it will work in "normal" view, but it does seem to take a little bit to apply the filters and everything.

I ended up having to export it to a "Google spreadsheet" in order to basically get it back to my original Excel file. Was hoping it would just host the excel file as is, but it seems more complicated than that.

Isn't it always :)
