Gypsy Queen question

i just saw my first gypsy queen cards yesterday and fell in love with them. does anyone know is 2011 the first year they have produced gypsy queen cards or are there other years? ive never seen them before now. any and all help appreciated. thanks

It was the first year that Topps produced it. Much like Allen and Ginter it was modeled after a vintage set, the 1887 Gypsy Queen set.

Topps will produce Gypsy Queen in 2012 also.
