Help with card IDs -1934 Player's Cigarettes

I bought this 50 card set at the flea market this morning. Hopefully someone on here has some knowledge about these. There was a small, hand-written card with the set: "John Player's Hinston Association Full Set, 1934, $125.00" (I didn't pay $125.00) I found them fascinating. Any help would be appreciated.

***EDIT- I just noticed that the hand-written card should have said "Hints On Association" and not "Hinston Association". Haha. I guess that could change things.

I Googled "John Player Cigaerette Cards" and It came right up,..
Looks like they are British and they have 3 football series listed,.all around 60 Pounds asking price,..

They are good looking cards,nice drawings,nice colors too.

Yeah, the guy had no clue (nor did I) what they were. They were just sitting there with a bunch of NASCAR cards, which is normally all I find at our flea market (It's 2 miles from Bristol Motor Speedway).
