Hey guys, I have a coin that I don't know much about and wanted to see if anyone here could help me with any information regarding it. It is a One Troy Oz. .999 Fine Silver coin and on the front is a picture of Johnny Mize, and it says JOHNNY MIZE across the top, HALL OF FAMER across the bottom, and below his picture it says INDUCTED 1981. I found a similar coin of Whitey Ford that sold for $38 on eBay, here is the link:

If anyone else has any other information about this coin, it would be appreciated. Also, I don't know if these have a book value or not, but if it does, what that BV would be. Also, it's for trade if anyone is interested. Thanks guys,

Jack

Jack - I can use it...please let me know what you're looking for.

Regarding value...spot silver for 1 oz is 32.xx today, so that is what the metal itself it worth

If you can't work out something with cjay, I'll take a turn. I don't know that there is much of a 'book' on things like that. I remember seeing ads for copins like that (not the HOF series, but events like first night game at Wrigley, and when Griffey came up they made a bunch of different ones. A lot of them retailed for $40-50 at issue, even when silver was $5 an ounce. I've picked up one or two here and there for pretty much the silver value. It's a limited market, since most silver stackers don't really want to pay anything extra for the design, and most sports collectors don't want to pay for the silver. But they are cool, and there is sure to be some crossing over in the markets
