The back of the second card says 1950 Bowman #98.

First card is Cy Young, looks like a reprint though.

The first is a 1909-1911 cy young old mill.

The second is a 1950 Bowman Ted Williams.

Where did you get them? Are they reprints?

They both look like reprints so be careful if you plan on trading or buying them.

That "dirty" spot on the rear bottom of the Young card is VERY suspicious. That is where reprint information would have been printed on most reprint copies of that card (see photo in link). If you can hold the cards and that area is rough or worn, given the rest of the card looks so clean and crisp, it is almost certainly a reprint. If not, those cards together would probably bring $1K+ in those conditions.

Nice cards, I believe both of those would do you a lot better if you sent them in to get them graded/authenticated. As you can see from this thread a lot of people question if they are reprints... if you can remove the doubt through one of the authentication companies you can get a nice return.

That is a very good idea..It is so hard to tell reprints sometimes

It can be impossible from photos, but having the ability to hold them in your hands and having the knowledge cuts that down greatly. Many of the older cards were on thicker paper than reprints are and the older cards tend to get a little brittle (you see flaking and chipping). Reprints can be dirtied, worn and made to look old, but they almost always have a telltale sign, if you can touch them.
