I got 25 duplicates in one hobby box of 2026 Topps baseball

I can't believe it. I mean, it used to be that dupes were rare in a hobby box, if they ever happened at all. Not only did I get 25 dupes, but some of them were triplicates in one box! On chat with Topps support right now because it's just unbelievable. Has this happened to anyone else?

350 cards in Series 1. You get 240 cards out of the hobby box, which include inserts and whatnot.

Thats crazy. Too bad it wasnt all duplicates of players that are worth something then it wouldnt be as bad since you can trade them for what you need. Sorry to hear this happened.

Even though trading is fun, it's still ridiculous. USPS is so expensive now, it would probably be cheaper to buy another hobby box than try to trade 25 cards hahaha

This has been happening for a few years now. Seems to me that once Fanatics purchased Topps, the collation in the boxes became brutal. It now takes upwards of 3 boxes and a bunch of trades to get a set. This is by design to sell more product, while at the same time reducing the amount of cards in the packs/boxes, and also bumping the prices.

It is very frustrating, but Topps CS won't do anything, as they do not guarantee anything.

I am not sure but maybe the hobby jumbos are the way to go. But forking over about 275.00 seems a little much.

Oh for sure. 2 autos or relics. I can’t imagine buying a jumbo and getting two base relics or something like that. At $275, might as well hold out for Bowman release or just buy a bunch of nice cards you know you want

I buy the cheepo packs that look fun to open when I get the itch to rip. Dont have to kick myself when i get junk, knew i was anyways... sometimes a nice rook pops up. But saving money to buy a forever PC card is much more satisfying, IMO.
