So I got a redemption for a Jason Heyward auto/ multi colored patch out of 2010 Bowman Platinum and guess what they send me..................

As you can see it even states on the redemption card that it is a multi colored patch!

It says "relic/patch" which leads me to believe it could be either not just a patch. The / = or. As stated, it is a nice card either way.

It clearly states multi color patch!! I would talk to one of their customer service reps about this problem. Good luck and let us know what happens! Best regards, David

Read the back of the card - I have the McCutchen and Tabata from this set and they say those exact words. Not sure why they did that, as the cards /740 are not patches (you occasionally find one with a bit of color) at all. The Green Refractors /199 are the ones where you start seeing real patches. Kind of a bummer, I know.

I am going to do that first thing Monday.

The relic would multi color...but the patch would not be. Interesting as most patchs have multi color on them. Best regards, David

Yeah, I'll add that scan in a few minutes.

No matter how you look at it patch/jersey it should be multi color. JMHO I would contact Topps and complain as it will definately affect the value.

I'd be upset too. It clearly states multi-color, so even if it is a patch of jersey, it should still have more than 1 color.

With that being said, it's still a cool card!

Will be interesting to hear the answer - there are 740 of each card in that set and the majority have the same problem. Something odd - I have two of the McCutchen cards - one is a white piece of jersey, the other is a completely black piece (probably from the number on the jersey). I keep looking to upgrade my two guys to a jersey with a piece of patch on it, but haven't had much luck so far.

All of the auto relic cards have the same lie...

Not too much different than when they say, "The signing of all Topps autograph cards is witnessed by a Topps representative to guarantee authenticity" and then this type of thing happens...

This guy signed hundreds of cards on the back before someone told him to sign the front. Are we actually supposed to believe that a Topps representative witnessed these signatures?

Nice card but I am with you. It is not "as advertised". I have had lots of luck with Topps Customer Service in returning cards. No reason you shouldn't.

Sorry to hear this.

This is why I keep saying this. UD ,Donruss anybody come and make Topps stand by the products they make. With no baseball competion they will continue to make these errors. And not fix them.

Almost every Platinum card this year says that exact same thing.
