Well my 12 yr old nephew just got back from Surprise yesterday, so I thought I would post you what he got...

He got 3 balls signed(not pictured)
Josh Hamilton--2010 All Star Ball
Tanner Scheppers-OMLB
2011 Arizona State Team Ball--NCAA Pac 10 ball...(After contacting Bobby Winkles, Bobby was nice enough to set up tickets and a tour for my little nephew and his group..He said they sat in the dugout during batting practice and saw the clubhouse and media room..They gave him a signed poster and he got the team to sign a baseball beofre the game against Oklahoma)..

Today we went and watched UTA vs UT-San Antonio..Former MLB pitcher Sherman Corbett is the head coach at UTSA..After the game he signed 11 cards(3 for buck)...

Nice dude....did you just hand Sherman the stack you had or how did he sign em? Can't wait to get him in April. Have a few 50/50 deals I picked up like you suggested.

I was with my nephew, he gave him 6, I gave him 5 and we talked about the series, spring training, etc...That kind of helped time go by since I had followed the 3 game series and was able to talk a little about the new college game with these new bats...Then since my nephew just got back from ST, I brought that up when there was a lull and Sherman was quick to talk about how fun ST is/was..Very nice guy. And they had just lost a 2-1 heartbreaker in 11 innings...

Yes very, very nice..I would do exactly that, tell him they are for friends/relatives etc..I imagine you will be the only person asking him for an auto(we were)...This is his 11th yr as coach at UTSA, so you know he takes his baseball seriously; but he really is gracious to people who come out to watch these smaller schools and support smaller college baseball. It's funny that there are only 13 current college coaches that are MLB alums, and two of them are in the Southland Conference...
