Yo

thought i would go catch the BYU/UTA game tonight and afterwards I had the opportunity to talk with Vance Law, the BYU head coach, for about 5 minutes outside their team bus. He told me to walk with him there as he "doesn't write very well while walking" :) They lost 6-2(UTA pummeled them 17-2 yesterday)... Super nice guy, signed everything and we chatted about his team, his dad, Vern, and the monstrosity that is Jerry's World.Extremely personable and just flat out knows his baseball.... Anyway he signed 9/9 (4 for halk, 1 for andrew and 1 for arron).......

TTMs included Neil Allen 5/5(they are FT if anyone is interested) and

my nephew was very excited about this ST return..Colby Lewis Texas Rangers 2/2.......

Hey Cw13
his dad will probably sign nice for you. I saw him pitch a 18 inning game back in the late 50,s and didnt get the win. Can you imagine a pitcher doing that nowadays.:D :D

I just looked this up chief and after reading this, i cant really repeat what i said......

He is the last Major Leaguer to pitch 18 innings in a game; he wasn't even scheduled to pitch that evening in 1955. Law only had 2 days rest, but the scheduled starter was sick. Manager Danny Murtaugh finally asked the Deacon to sit down in the 18th inning for a pinch hitter. Bob Friend came in and gave up a run in the top of the 19th to the Braves, but the Bucs roared back to win the game in the bottom of the 19th - Friend got the win; Law earned a no-decision after 18 innings of 9-hit, 3-walk, 12-K's, and 2 run ball. Law came back 4 days later and threw 13 innings against Cincinnati before collecting a win.

I definitely will send something now to the 1960 CY winner........
