or has trading slowed down for anyone else? I just had my first month since I joined The Bench where I didn't have a single trade. I guess that I am attributing this to the fact that I am only collecting this years Topps base set. I have been working on my 70's sets, but that has been slow as of late.
I can't even find any decent trade bait lately.

Anybody else miss DLP???

Yep, it's slowed down for me as well, My wants have narrowed and have used a lot of my trade bait. Still, I've managed to make a few deals a week, but it is harder...

Slow here too. It's that time of year. I would be doing more but I didn't get any A & G. I am sure things will pick up in the fall.

Thanks,

Jeff

A few summers ago, I would make 30+trades per month and now people seem to not want to trade for things that aren't important. And how can I blame them, it's getting more and more expensive to ship a common jersey and auto in a bubble mailer + postage for another common jersey or auto. So, I've seen a lot of people trading only for absolute needs.

it has slowed down a lot and topps being the only baseball card company has attributed to that because the collectors that would have opened 1 box of topps and 1 box of UD are now buying 2 topps and completing more of their sets that way and not needing to trade as much and everyone has the same thing to trade because everyone is opening the same thing. No diversity has limited the trading IMO

July seemed alright to me until about the last week or so. I started trading on another site again and used up a big chunk of my tradebait. I collect everything I don't have sooooo I don't come up with tradebait too often.

i have just the opposite problem i have tons of trade bate and not really sure what to trade it for. its just been easier to find my set needs on ebay and buy what i need than go through hundreds of posts looking for something i might need or posting a trade up and no one seems intrested. so ive just kind of gave up on trading.

I think a lot of people on this site (including me) prefer to sell and a lot of people dont want to pay for shipping. It just cost me 1.71 to ship one card ina bubble mailer!!!

everyone wants to sell, no one wants to buy and when they do, it seems like most people just want cards for just about FREE!!

I have plenty of needs but have essentially stopped trading, save for TTM autos. I just don't feel like I have anything anyone needs with so many people going for only hi dollar cards. Keeping in mind hi dollar for me in anything over $10. My tradelist is littered with cards that would go into most peoples nickel bins so I'm essentially a seller/buyer now. Too bad as I really enjoy trading.
