Have had this card for a while now and cannot find any info on it. Beckett lists a refractor version of this card, but the one I have is the non refractor version. Anybody seen one of these before, or know anything about them as far as scarcity?

Beckett OPG list this and it is not numbered. Also It is the only one listed so you have a Refractor even if it does not say it on the back.
2005 Topps Opening Day Chrome Refractors #9 Derek Jeter $10.00

If that is the case then Beckett made a mistake since mine does not say refractor and does not have a refractor finish. There are refractors from 2005 Opening Day Chrome on ebay though, so there is a set like that. Have never seen any Opening Day Chrome non refractors on ebay though.

Tim:

I have the refractor and it is clearly marked just above the card number.
I agree with Jaxbraves, you have a refractor, without it being printed
on the back of the card.

Do the ones on ebay say refractor on them?
I know this year Topps left off the word refractor on a lot of there stuff.

Gene,

Does your copy have the refractor finish on the front?

I don't know. I do know that the ones on ebay are clearly refractors based on the finish on the front. Mine does not have the refractor finish. Looking at my Jeter and a refractor from the same year side by side it is easy to tell that the Jeter is a regular chrome, non refractor.

Got me stumped then.

beckett may only have the refractors checklisted , but if you do a little googling , you can find that while MOST are refractors , there are a handful of non-refractors out there being sold or at least discussed .....at first glance it does seem that the non-refractors are less common , but as for actual print runs or ratio of refractor:non-refractor though , i wouldn't want to speculate without doing more research....

I did try to find some info on Google but don't have a lot of time right now. Will do some more extensive research tomorrow.
