Watched the game tonight and got to thinking that I didn't remember a "Heritage" card for Kendrick.
So I pulled the 2012 , 13 & 14 sets and there appears that there isn't one , at least I didn't see it.
Haven't yet gone back to 2011 and earlier.
Ok , unless I missed it for those 3 years , why no card?
Anyone know if it's only "Heritage" , does he appear on any other issues and
are there any other players that should have been carded and were not?
Thanks ,
Ken

Well , as best as I can tell , Kendrick only appears in the 2008 and 2009 "Heritage" sets .
As per Ebay , he's all over "regular" Topps sets for 2014 and past years , but not ,as far as I can tell "Topps Chrome".
He also can be found in the Bowman and Bowman Chrome sets from earlier years.
Seems strange to me that , except for the 2 years noted above , he's not in Heritage and seems not to be in any Topps Chrome
issues at all .
Do these guys sign a contract with Topps for "each" issue (per Year) or does "one" cover all issues for that season ?
Wonder if , whatever the answer is , he's the only player or are there others ?
Ken

Well , since no one has chimed-in , I have to assume (for what ever reason) , that Kendrick is the only
player that has not been in some recent Heritage issues , but probably should have ?
Would still like to know if anyone has an answer about the contract or contracts players sign with Topps and others .
Ken

Ken, I believe when a player signs for the year that company can put him into any of their products for that year. I know in the past when Donruss would sign a former player like Sandy Koufax, they would advertise that he would appear in all issues they produced that had "legends." There have been players who never signed contracts with a company - currently Matt Wieters of Baltimore never signed with Topps, supposedly at the advice of his agent when he first turned pro. Maury Wills went most of his career before finally signing with Topps. Tony Horton (1st baseman with Cleveland in the early 70's) never signed with Topps, but had a card in the Kellogg's 3D set in 1971.
