Same as every year -- organize. ultimate goal being to eliminate everything that isn't part of my PC through either sale or trade.

Set building - continue to knock out sets that I have started (down to 3 right now - 2017 Walmart Holiday, 2023 Topps Big League, 2019-20 Donruss Basketball).

Vintage Set Building - continue to work towards the goal of every Topps set from 1969-present. If I can knock out 1973, 1974 & 1975 this year, that would be nice. And start knocking down the numbers needed on 1969-1972, that would be a fantastic bonus.

For my son - a Harper auto. a Judge auto. a Bohm auto. a Bichette auto.

I would like to add Tom Seaver and Bryce Harper autographs to my PC this year. Whats yours?

My goals would be to get as many numbered cards of the phillies and inserts, autographs
relics, or numbered cards of the players in my signature and a few others. I would love any
phillies autos although I am afraid I cannot afford them at the moment:(. We will see what
Happens!!!

No more buying wax or buying into breaks (no more gambling!)
Buy singles I want on eBay or at local card shows
Thin out my non-PC collection by selling more on eBay
Ultimately, self-fund my hobby by selling more on eBay and by picking up undervalued cards at local shows

I am usually pretty good at completing the goals I set but last year I feel that I was horrible at this. The dramatic increase in the price of vintage items is really putting a damper on some of my goals. So my goals for this year will mimic my ones from last year for the most part.

1) I would like to pick up 3 of the remaining 5 cards for my 1971 Topps set. I only picked up one from last year and it is still not in my hands (waiting on COMC to fill my order!!). As most of you know, finding cards from this set in higher condition is getting harder and harder. And the prices keep going up. I just refuse to get cards that are not around exmt condition. I have been working too long to settle for lesser condition cards. Out of the 5 that I need, 4 of them are a little pricey. Aaron, Banks, Mays and the Baylor/Baker rookie. The other 1 is a high number.

2) I would like to finally complete my 1975 Topps mini set. Down to 4 cards remaining on this one. Munson, Ryan, Yount and the Mantle/Wills MVP card are all I have left. I WILL COMPLETE THIS ONE THIS YEAR!!

3) I would like to cut my 1970 Topps needs in half. looking to pick up a little over 100 cards for this one but as usual, those high numbers can be difficult to find and they are pricey!!

4) I would like to cut my 1960 Topps want list in half. I am down to the last 48 cards and as usual when it comes to these vintage Topps sets, a majority of them are the high numbers. This one is going to be tough. But the National show is in Cleveland this year and I am hoping that I will be able to get some of these there. Fingers crossed, hopefully they will be somewhat affordable

5) And lastly, I will continue to try and pick up cards to help other collector's on here out. I like to believe that I am fairly good at this one. I go to a show or a shop at least once a month and take some people's want lists with me. This is beneficial to both of us in my opinion. I can get cards someone wants and then i trade those for ones that I want. It is kind of nice when everything works out in the end.

I will try and keep everyone informed as to how I do.

Great thread!!

I suppose I will do the Topps Heritage set with SPs. And at a minimum, 4 insert sets. The nostalgia has worn off because my last year of original collecting was in 1971. That would have been the summer of my sophmore year. My jerk older brother gave me a hard time for collecting cards making me think I was too old to do so. With 2024 Topps Heritage the 1975 year will be the design. I would like to have every Topps Heritage set that will be made, but I am worn out as far as the time period because I didn't collect then. I am trying to track down the last 3 cards of the YSL Historical Moments insert set. That will be tough.

Working on my insert collections for the next two months. Filing in the missing inserts. Only buying boxes or blasters of Topps I, 2 & Updates, Topps Chrome and Topps Chrome Updates. Bowman and Bowman Chrome. Happy New Year, David

I've got 3 or 4 Tatis autos...willing to trade this if you've got a comparable Reds auto :)

2020 Topps Clearly Authentic '53 Topps Reimagining Autographs #RAFTJ Fernando Tatis Jr. /99

1. Become more active on this site. I haven't traded much lately and I miss it!
2. Get rid of all of the cards I don't want by either trading, selling, or donating.
3. Upgrade my Cardinals collection- higher end rookies, nicer vintage, autos

Inch closer to finishing my 1971 Topps Baseball set. Finish upgrading my 1978, 1979 and 1980 Topps sets. Double the number of TTM autographs I have to 300 different players.

Bryon,
Man I had the chance to pick a mini Yount earlier this year ( oops last year) for about 60 bucks . If I would have known you needed it, since you have helped me numerous times. Will keep looking for one!

Goals for this year:
1 finish my 80’s Topps needs. Down to a handful for the decade. Including the Ripken Update.
2 add to my Puckett PC, to include either a certified auto or 84 update or 83 minor league.
3 finally get my collection completely organized and cataloged.

lmk if you have any of my wants or any numbered cards!

I can probably help you out with those years. My '78 through '80 sets are complete, and I have many dupes available for trade. I'm also working toward completing my '71 set; however, I have plenty of dupes from that year as well. I'm beginning sets from near scratch for '70, '72' 73', '74 & '76, so I'd be willing to trade what I have for what you have available from those years as well.
