I have decided to start collecting rookie cards of star players from 1980 onwards - just trying to gather up some of the cards that I remember being the "cards to have" in my youth. So looking for cards like...

1980 Rickey Henderson
1982 Cal Ripken
1983 Wade Boggs, Tony Gwynn, Ryne Sandberg
1984 Don Mattingly, Darryl Strawberry
1985 Roger Clemens, Eric Davis
1986 Barry Bonds, Paul O'Neill

Hopefully you get the idea - this list is by no means comprehensive and I will look at everything up to an including Bryce Harper. I would like the cards to be in good condition and have a fully updated trade list on my Bench Page. So let me see what you Benchies have!

The value in the parenthesis is the asking price (for selling) on those cards. On the game used cards, I won't be able to trade those straight across for rookies unless they are higher end. I would ask 1.5 X book value on those. The numbered/inserts/etc I have no problem going straight across with.

Thanks for the hold....the cards I listed are on your B page....just got back, may be out of town tomorrow as well, as my mom's best friend of 72 years (my mom is 82) just passed today But, I have been pulling some cards tonight. I will have no problem coming up with cards for you.
Btw...I have a 2012 Bowman Ice Marcum if you are interested.
The cards I want are from 2011 Topps Pro Debut or Tier One...hope that helps!

Thank you for your sentiments....and sorry for your loss as well...it's tough, I don't think many people can say they've had a true friend for 72 years!! And, I lost my grandparents back in the 80's, so I know. I just sent you a pm, forgot to add the Marcum Ice...but I will add it to the stack of what you may pick from those.
