Pretty overwhelmed here- in a good way! I recently bought a collection that was meticulously organized (over 150 binders) and obviously took many years and lots of money to put together. I've never seen anything like it. It was unfortunately sorted by team, which makes the process of building sets out of it much more difficult. I will be collating sets after removing the parallels, autos, SPs, etc.
Which brings me to.....
Anyone collect Topps SPs? I usually do trade but I'm into this collection for quite a bit of money so I'm only looking to sell at the moment. Only exception is I would trade for rookies of Griffey, Acuna, Soto and Ohtani since I could in-turn, sell those easily.
Before I go listing, I'd like to see if there's interest. At first glance, there are 90% of the SPs and SSPs from I believe every Topps and Opening Day set from 2010-2019. This includes rookie variations from whatever years had those as well as veteran/retired variations. Lots of pie-in-the-face cards and that type of thing. The only major omission from the collection are the sparkle and Abe Lincoln variations from 2012 I believe.
I'm hanging onto the superstar rookies (like the Strasburg, Harper, Acuna, Soto, etc.) and the Trouts but pretty much everything else is on the table.
I'll be pricing just under eBay comparable sales (if there are any.) I will use comparable caliber players for comps if necessary and will be as fair as possible. Fair warning- some of the most rare stuff with no good pricing signals will be high and in some cases over BV.
I need to further sort them (probably by year) but I should be able to get player and team lists pretty soon if there is interest.
Same story for Football if you have interest there.
Editing to add: if trading- I would want there to be at least $100 in cards to make S/H costs worthwhile.
