Sent April 8th, returned April 17th:
Dick Tracewski 3/3
2 1966 Topps
1 1969 Topps
Dick Tracewski had an admirable career as a player, spending time with the Dodgers and the Tigers. In fact, he was lucky enough to be on the winning team in his three postseason experiences as part of the World Champions in 1963, 1965 (LA) and 1968 (Detroit). And how many of us can say we were worth 1.6 Wins Above Replacement?
As a Tiger fan who is a little bit younger, I remember him as the Tigers' coach. He won another ring in the awesome year of 1984, when the Tigers beat the Padres. He was also the interim Tiger manager before Sparky Anderson arrived in the Motor City.
What a cool return and he has a very distinctive signature!
