Every now and again, one needs a little burst
to energize the collecting bug that infects us all.
Well, I believe I OD'd today.

A good friend, fellow collector and dealer stopped by
the house today with these. That's 53 2010 Bazooka's
and the Clyde Parris 2009.

I was blown away to say the least.

The show ain't over yet, folks . . .

Dang Richard! Nice addition to the collection. I didn't get a chance to check with my friend today to see if she had any others the shop was to busy.

I haven't pulled a single Bazooka or Silk yet this year. Now I know why - they're all headed to Maryland!
I got your package mailed today, by the way.

Wow Richard...Amazing

I thought the same thing, believe me.

No problem, I hope to see you at the Shoff show
in Tysons Corner.

Now you are just showing off....

....always amazing stuff my friend....

There is more than a hint of that, huh?
Nice collection.....are both completed? Best regards, David

No sir, not even close. All 350 cards are available
in these formats. I think even a complete set of the Bazooka's
is a pipe dream. That doesn't mean that I won't chase 'em.

Imagine how I felt when I opened the hinged plastic
case holding the Bazooka's. I do, once again, appreciate
you working with me on the trade. I'm looking forward
to adding some more magenta to the collection(s).

Thanks for the looks & Collect Hard!,

Beautiful. They are awesome!

Thank you, I agree.

I believe after chasin' this stuff stupid for four years
that the Bazooka's are, by far, my favorites.
I have to meet the Graphic Artist that came up with
the notion to mix the original Allen & Ginter advertisement
with Bazooka Joe. I'll buy him or her rounds all night long.

Hope you fulfill your dreams! Take more drugs!

Thanks Peter, you are more than well-acquainted with
the obsession bug.

Folks, if you've never viewed his truly one-of-a-kind
collection, I suggest that you reserve several hours
of your time and prepare to be amazed.

That is literally the nicest 1 days worth of pick-ups, I've ever seen. Congrats!!

It was an intense Saturday afternoon to say the least.

Thank you for the response and thanks to Dale of this
fine site, I'll be adding 15 more Bazooka's (2006-2009)
in the next couple of days
.

Wow! nice pick ups! Thanks for sharing,
Scott

Thank you and all that have responded.

Keeping with the musical theme . . .

that this "show-off" thread seems to be taking,
I'll label this one as "It ain't over 'til the fat lady
sings."

The previous post with 15 A & G Bazooka backs
was a good days work in anyone's' book. Yet, as
the my actual workday waned, I got a call from
a friend, fellow collector and well-known "enabler."
He is also a 6' - 6", 300 lb., ex-linebacker for the
New York Giants and Maryland Terrapins (plug for
the Coach).

He said he had some stuff that I might be
interested in . . .

needless to state, the negotiations were short
and sweet.

What a day for the collection!

By the way, where are my meds and better yet,
where is my therapist?

Thanks for the looks and Collect Hard!,

These made my day today!

That's number 71 for the 2010 Bazooka's and number
22 on the Silks.

That makes number 74 for the 2010 Bazooka backs #'d/25
and 27 "Silks #'d to 10."

I owe so many folks on this site and others
like it as well as the hard-core collectors that
I have had the pleasure to meet along the way.

The Bench has been a godsend for my collection.
Tom S., Dale, bonzomoretti, nordy22, mld218 and
many others have made wicked contributions to
my obsession.

I intend to pay each and every one of them a
tribute through this photo-biography of the complete
Allen & Ginter collection (2006-2010). Thank each
and every one of you.

They look a lot better like this though . . .
