Mike Piazza / Collectors Choice Silver Signatures ?

Does Mr. Piazza have any Collectors Choice silver or gold signature cards? I was sorting some cards today and came across these 2.

96 Collectors Choice Mike Piazza 406
96 Collectors Choice Mike Piazza 406 w/ Los Angeles Dodgers on front where silver signature would usually be.

The card is a team checklist card. I figured it was either one of 3 things then.
1. All Piazza silver/gold signature cards list Dodgers on front rather than him.
2. Since it is a team checklist card that all silver/gold signature cards of team checklist cards use the team name as the signature as opposed to player.
3. An uncorrected error?

I'm leaning towards #2. Anyone know for sure? Thanks.

Looking at scans on cmoc shows that all of Piazza's other Collector's Choice Silver Signature cards are his signature, and all the 1996 Team Checklist Silver Sigs I could find (Ripken, Bonds, Griffey, Maddux) had the team logo in silver instead of a signature. So #2 is correct.
