Throughout the years I've worked on various collections, some of which have been successes (500 HR Club GU, star rookie collections), failures (2005 Sweet Spot Classic), or forgotten about (Sammy Sosa).
Over the past couple years my main focus has been Mickey Mantle. My father passed away of lung cancer when I was six months old; my mother told me that he once had a baseball card collection that burned in a house fire. His crown jewel was the 1952 Topps #311 Mickey Mantle.
My collection mainly consists of base and inserts (including any '52 reprint I can find). However, over the past year I've been able to obtain a few vintage cards and one game-used. I'll show off a few of my favorites here.
For starters, my first 1952 reprint:
1996-1997 Topps Mantle Collection #2
