hey guys, as always i appreciate the great responses. there is soooo much great wisdom and advice here and i appreciate all your responses. as many know my PCS are:
1. Collect a autograph of everyone who ever played for the dodgers
2. collect every topps and bowman dodger card from 1948-2011
3. collect dodgers gu

who here has a similar pc with their favorite team? such as collecting all topps cards of their favorite team or collecting every autograph of their favorite team? i know there are a couple guys here trying to get every auto of their team and a couple also trying to get every topps card and every gu of their team..anyone else here?

i am trying to collect a master collection of anything minnesota twins. autos, gus, inserts, parallels, i do them all!

mrmopar- we both have the same collecting goals, maybe we can help each other out sometime.

sinocc-ill keep an eye out for some twins for you.

anyone else?

I have needed to streamline my collecting habits - my focus is on '51-'11 Topps Cubs and parallels.
Since starting the project (at 0 cards) four years ago, I've closed within 300, so I'm on a roll! I just hate hate hate the 2002 Topps Traded SPs.

I have very similar collecting goals with Yankee team sets, but don't collect parallels or Bowman. I'm around 69% as well, 1541/2236.

I collect autos of just the World Champion teams I have watched 1996 to present. My auto goals are always changing, I can't decide...I'm thinking about truncating my list from anyone who played a game that season to just the post-season roster. And possibly from certified to all TTM so I can use the extra funds towards the O'Neill collection.

I am not a big fan of GU or patches, the only ones I have are from 2000 UD Hologrfx Piece of the Series, which feature GU bases from the 1999 WS. I'm still waiting for a similar set to come along, with GU from significant games.

Anyway, great topic, glad to see others with simialr goals. Here are my stats from my Excel spreadsheet.

Yankees Topps Base Sets /2218
- 1950s Topps 10/203 = 05%
- 1960s Topps 46/370 = 12%
- 1970s Topps 225/330 = 68%
- 1980s Topps 421/426 = 99%
- 1990s Topps 324/335 = 97%
- 2000s Topps 453/489 = 93%
- 2010s Topps 31/65 = 48%
* Bonus Sets 120/507 = 24% (Debut, Factory Exclusives, 14/55 Team Sets)

Yankees Heritage Base Sets /440
- 2001-2007 Bowman Heritage *01/150 = 01%
- 2001-2010 Topps Heritage 06/290 *= 02%

Yankees World Series Roster Autos /145
- 1996 Team 18/48 = 38%
- 1998 Team 21/38 = 55%
- 1999 Team 19/39 = 49%
- 2000 Team 18/46 = 39%
- 2009 Team 02/45 = 04%
