Do you guys think its worth the purchase to get any of the 2012 Topps Opening Day Baseball getting bored and wanted someting to bust open thats not to spendy and tired of 08 UD boxes and all the junk that they now produce. so waht do ya think is it worth the purchase price or is it really just more junk, now remember this is not a product i normally buy and im thinking it would be an intresting bust if its worth the price.

thanks dave

I have a nice lot fs lol. AND you are GUARANTEED to get only autos/gu lol

Positives are that it's cheap, should be found around $30 a box. There are some "tough" inserts in it, the Mascots are popular but you have to open a ton to make a set, and the autographs historically are really, really tough to get.
Negatives are that the cards won't book enough to be worth the investment, IMO, and the cards are pretty much the same as base Topps cards, except with the OD logo. Same blue parallels too.
I opened a box, traded a few things but it sits, useless on my desk..

ya i can get them cheep and im jonesing for some busting, after finishing the prepayment for my cases i have some money left over and really dont want to bust more UD junk. just thinking that this migt be a way to go for some cheep thrills and it sounds like it could be that cheep lol. and i have boxes of decades old junk maybe i just need some new junk to add to it too lol.

It's a fun break. It's pretty much just as good as a regular Series 1 box, only about 30 bucks cheaper.

I'd say go for it, busting a box is always fun. :)

thats kind of what i was thinking that it would be a fun break but just as i ordered the OD case i got a forgotten reminder for this week too, seems like i will be getting a case of series two abouttttt the same day as the OD case. guess i will have enough to keep me busy for a couple of days now. i still have to build Mr/ Thomas's series two set for him. so that will keep me busy too. when it rains it pours figuritively and literly today it seems too.

have a good one guys and keep the field dry.

Depends what you're looking for. Personally I'd hit up my one of the online stores and pick up a box or 2 of something from the 1994-2002 era, nice selection of $20-40 boxes from that timeframe that were fun to bust. Older Leaf, Pinnacle, Studio, Ultra, Finest, Topps, Fleer,Select, SP, etc. Some fun inserts, decent amount of cards per pack, and a trip down memory lane.

Personally Topps 2012 Opening Day is junk. I prefer Topps 2012 Baseball much better cards and a better set over all but you may want to look into the Topps Archives lots of color, well known names and the cost is reasonable but I live in NY and cards here are expensive per pack, box or blaster box. In the end it is your call, and your call only guy.
