the fakes on these are getting to be so good you pretty much have to send them in for grading to know if you have the real thing on some of them...

took the card out of case and sleeve, image is much much better.

just a note to help for anyone that knows anything about this set, when i was holding the card, it felt like a very thin paper stock. the texter felt fine, but the thickness sure seemed thin.

Much better image! IMO, it's a real 1922 Caramel. Without holding it my hands, I can't assess cardstock, and the flaking in the top left corner concerns me, but it does have the hallmarks of Caramels. That said, be aware that there was a reprint set of these issued a number of years ago, and "aging" a reprint isn't difficult. I don't know if sending it to PSA would be worth it, if it's real, you might get a low grade, if a reprint, you'd have wasted the money. I don't know if you have decent shows in your area, but sometimes I take things like this to shows and have dealers give me their opinions for free- if they offer to buy it, you know it's got value, LOL.

you need to send in on a PSA special when they do the $5 deal again or something like that...if you think its real its well worth it to get it slabbed.

thanx guys for the input. i looked at the link oldmarine put up there, and the barber that guy has pictured looks nothing like mine. his is a plain white front it looks like, and the text on bottom of card is different.

I have a few of those and I seem to remember w/o pulling them out that they were a very thin stock. I believe you can find them in different shades or looks as well although it is possible it may be a different set that looks similar, not sure. I never took the time to become very familiar with the early stuff, because I don't have a great interest in it and it is often not affordable to get decent items.

These won't be a great pictures for reference but I have a couple scanned with other cards...

He has the E121 pictured. According to others on ebay, it seems like you have an E120.
