New to The Bench but not new to collecting

Hello and thank you for allowing me to introduce myself. I am a retired Veteran and proud grandfather. I am an avid collector of Vintage cards mainly older football and baseball with a sprinkling of late 60's basketball and a dash of Hockey. I am also working on finishing a few sets with my grandson being down to one card in one of the sets that I just need to find. I think I have heard of The Bench but not really looked into it a lot. I am a member of quite a few trading card groups such as OBC, VCT, Trading Bases, TCDB and some facebook groups (which proved to be very nice but prone to scams so one must be careful) so I have traded cards via PWE etc for many many years. I hope to meet others on here and become a part of this group which looks to enjoy the true essence of the hobby which is in the name "trading" cards. Anyway hope to meet others on here and have a lot of fun.

I'm not sure how to do that but there are a ton of tech savvy members here if you don't know how to do it. Being an AFL fan from "back in the day", technology is not my strong suit.

Awesome you have a Namath RC!!! Just finding ANY1965 Topps football cards is a tough task! I traded for mine back in the early/mid 80s and I even remember I traded a Seaver RC and a 2nd year Pete Rose for it. I have never had a legit chance to aquire another Namath RC since then unless I wanted to part with some serious cash!

I didn't even think about that. I will go do that now. I was really blessed to be able to get the Namath and it truly is a nice card to have. Right now I am searching for that last card for my grandson the 2024 Topps Heritage #404 Bobby Witt Jr Red Border. I thought I had one the other day from a facebook group and the guy even coined the photo but turned out to be a scan and I lost some money. Lesson learned on my part for sure.

Sorry to hear about you getting ripped off. In 25 years of internet trading I have not had that displeasure.

I'd start a topic in either the Baseball set needs or Baseball wants for that last Heritage card your grandson needs. Someone here is sure to have that.
