Got a tip from my co-worker that Nomar Garciaparra would be honored at his high school's alumni game this year. Made the quick trip over and got these:
Nomar made a great speech to the current squad emphasizing the importance of academics and to cherish their HS years as they go by quick. Mia was also in attendance, but had nothing of her.
Also recognized Bud Smith as well as Steve Rodriguez (donated the Rodriguez card to the co-worker as I will be seeing Steve again next week).
