Now that Derek Jeter has hit his 3000th and then some I thought it would be interesting to see how many Bench members own a Jeter Rookie Card.

I have 3: (2) 1993 Upper Deck RC and (1) 1993 Topps RC

Who doesn't have one? They can be had for practically nothing. Like so many other rookies from the late 80s-early 90s, there is an endless supply and only a light demand, again, because everyone already has one (or ten).

I've never owned one. Now I'm a player collector, but still in all my days of looking through cards I think I've only seen one lol.

I have at least 2 complete Topps 1993 sets as well as a gold Topps 1993 set. I also have a 1992 Upper Deck Minor League set with his card in it.

Thanks,

Jeff

I have 3 topps, 1 topps gold, 2 upper deck, 1 pinnacle, 1 93-94 excel, 1 1992 four sport, 1 1992 classic/best

This was my thought also. $5-10 could have bought you A Topps, UD, and at times a Bowman online or at a show for about the last 10 years (maybe not in the NY area), and even the SP version have been pretty available over the years. This was in a time before the serial numbering, short printing, random insert, autographed craze really got going, so pulling a Jeter wasn't really any more difficult than pulling BJ Surhoff. If you bought any decent amount of packs/boxes, you likely pulled several. I know I have at least one Topps, Bowman, UD, and SP in my 80's-90's rookie box. plus probably another handful of the topps/UD/Pinnacle/Select sitting in misc boxes somewhere

I have every regular issue set for that season (Bowman, Donruss, Topps, Pinnacle, Stadium, UD, etc) so have all of his RCs. Today is a good day to be selling one ;)

Back in 1993, I only bought 1 pack of Upper Deck SP because they were pricey (for that time period) and stuck the only Yankee that I received in a Yankees/Mets Binder that I had... about 7 years later, I re-opened the binder to learn that it was the Jeter RC.

I had three of them...gave one away. Best regards, David

Was going to say me and then I double checked, sure enough I have one in my trade box:p

I pretty much have them all. My fav. is the UD SP foil PSA 9.5.. At the time i got it, I was not sure about paying $100 for a card, I think it was good investment now..LOL

I don't really collect Jeter, but I have his '93 Topps and UD RCs. The UD one has some dings on it, I found it in a $1 box and thought it would just be neat to have as a keepsake.

Never bothered to pick one up. I have the greatest respect for Jeter and his accomplishment, but when it comes down to it, I hate the Yankees.

I just recently bought a 93 Topps complete set at a flea market for $2 so I now have one. Before this one, though, I'd never owned one.

Have the 1993 Topps and sold the 1993 Bowman in Ex condition for $11, which I think was a pretty good deal for both parties.................
