A couple of successes from the older players still signing TTM..very pleased to add these.

Mike Sandlock 2/2 '53 reprint and IC
Sandlock, 95, played for the Brooklyn Dodgers in 45 and 46..He also wrote a little note about Bobby Bragan(who I referenced in my letter) and said he was a very good manager and ballplayer and may he rest in peace...

Ransom Jackson 3/3 '59 topps '52 reprint and IC w "46 Cotton Bowl Champs" SWC Top Hitter 45-46-47
Ransom was a stud here in Texas. After playing for TCU in the 45 Cotton Bowl(first string RB) he transferred to UT(b/c the Naval Officer's training program at TCU got canceled) and played with Bobby Layne in '46 Cotton Bowl against Mizzou(UT won 40-27 and playing RB Jackson completed a 58 yd pass off a statue of liberty play I believe) also he led the Southwest Conference in hitting '45-'47 with batting averages of .500 .438 and .400 respectively.
He broke into the majors in 1950 and was a 2X All Star third baseman. Jackson, 85, is still a great signer and another great addition to the collection.

Thanks for reading!!

I met both of these guys at what was probably the last Brooklyn Dodger reunion in 2009 in New Jersey. Sandlock looked in great shape as did Jackson. I had Jackson sign a Dodgers item for me and took a photo with him, which he later signed in the mail.

thanks guys, Andrew, your Brooklyn project opened my eyes to these two...thanks :)
