Picked up two $5 rack packs and a $10 "cereal" box, and in the cereal box had three Target reds (Thornburg, Harrell, & Gregorius) and a couple which are noticeably lighter (almost rust) in color (Yelich, Shelby Miller) -- any idea what's up with the color tint difference?

Not sure. Are they numbered by chance? If not then maybe they are just another retail exclusive color. Are these '14 Series 2?

Nope, they are not numbered. Yes, they are series 2.

I saw no mention on the box of the Yellow borders -- maybe these are the equivalent?

Maybe its the Yellow version? Otherwise, it may be a new unlisted parallel.

I believe Topps did it to us again. The Hanger pack yellow in series 1 seem to have turned to orange in series 2. I would have prefered the yellow but as usual we don't have a choice.

Yeah, that was what I was wondering, and that makes sense. Yellow in series 1, and "yellow" in series 2.
