Random question concerning 2011 Topps baseball

I received a base card of David Dejesus #170, however the back is not 'glossy' like most Topps issues...it's rather what I call 'old' topps cardboard (brownish, and appears to be on a slightly thicker stock)

Anyone aware of any variations or inserts like this? I did not purchase any 2011 Topps aside from update, which is the standard 'glossy' back stuff like I figured this would be.

I have no other 2011 Topps backs to compare it to, is this a standard issue card or some sort of parallel?

Sounds like a retail stuff.....I recall buying a blaster box last year and there were a few cards in the blaster with different back/card board type. Best regards, David

they are 2011 topps target parallels....as i recall , 2 of these "throwback parallel" packs per blaster....

Yeah, I have a few of those as well. Looks like Target likes to mix things up a bit.

The Target blasters last year had one pack of throwback cards, where the whole pack was a card that looked the same, but was printed on an older feeling card stock.
