Sorry if this seems blatantly obvious, but sometimes people overlook the obvious still...

Looks like the Jethroe was signed by Ron Lewis perhaps. Did you notice that?

I knew, just did not have time last night to label any of the scans:)

Got in my Black Friday shipment from COMC. Please excuse my camera phone pics.

395 cards, total BV over $2,000. This was the buildup of a shopping spree over a period of 4 months.

These are all for my collection, none are for trade. Let's start off with Refractors:

comcrefractors.jpg
Here's some out of Topps Chrome, Bowman Chrome, Bowman Sterling, and Finest. Paid 10-33% of book for these, except for the ones I REALLY needed, like the 1995 Finest Tom Goodwin on the bottom...paid half book for that one.

comcrefractors2.jpg
Gold Refractors, Black Refractors, etc. Sort of overpaid for the Grant Green 2011 Bowman's Best Refractor/99 ($5), but it was still less than what they go for on eBay and it looks cool.

comcrefractors3.jpg
A pile of various Refractors, 2011 Atomics (those look so awesome), Purple Prospects, and 2 2002 Bowman Chrome Draft A's X-Fractors I didn't have.

comcbluerefractors.jpg
Holy cow do I love Bowman Chrome Blue Refractors. These were mostly around a buck a piece.

comclarge.jpg
Picked up a couple of oversized cards on my wantlist while I was at it because these are a pain to trade for or buy on eBay. The Zito Studio Private Signings was only $2.50.

comc90s.jpg
Let's go old school...tough 1990's parallels! Picked up a few 1991 Topps Desert Storm A's for a buck each. $.50-1.00 for the 1993-95 Stadium Club First Days. Found 2 1997 Fleer Tiffany Blue A's...player/team collectors know how tough those are. Collector's Choice Gold Signatures, Donruss Press Proofs, and Pinnacle/Score Artist Proofs were all 50 cents to a dollar. The two Pacific Platinums were comparatively expensive at around $4 each, but I needed them for my Bobby Jones and Tom Goodwin collections.

comcinserts.jpg
Got a ton of inserts/parallels numbered to 200 or less, mostly for 25 cents to a couple bucks. Some of my favorites here include 3 1999 UD Exclusives/100 A's, Mark Mulder 2002 Donruss Season Stat Line/88, Tim Hudson 2000 Bowman Gold/99, Xavier Nady 2004 Ultra Platinum Medallion/66, and the two Circa Raves at the bottom.

comcmirrors.jpg
I also love Certified Mirrors. 2003 is my favorite year, and I was very happy to pick up a Tejada Mirror Blue along with Hudson and Mulder Mirror Red Jerseys. The 2005 Mirror Gold Jersey/25 Chavez was a nice bonus.

comcgu.jpg
Got a huge pile of GU, mostly paying $1-2, but higher for select cards. Some of my goodies were the pictured 2002 UD Diamond Connection BLH Bat/200 Jermaine Dye (love that set), Donruss Class of 2001 Aces Mulder, 2005 Topps All-Star Stitches Mulder, 2005 Pristine Personal Pieces Bat Bobby Crosby, 2011 All-Star Stitches Gio Gonzalez, SP Legendary Cuts Rollie Fingers/Huston Street dual jersey, and the lovely 2005 Artifacts Rich Harden Patch/50 for only $4.

comcblack.jpg
Topps Blacks! These were mostly in the $3 range, which is what I usually bid on eBay (counting shipping costs) and lose 90% of the time.

comcautos.jpg
Autographs! These were all $1-5...many of the junkier ones in the pile were closer to the dollar end of the spectrum. Some of my pictured favorites are the 1996 Leaf Signature Terry Steinbach ($2), 2009 Bowman Chrome Prospects Refractor Eric Sogard ($3), 2011 Tier 1 Gio Gonzalez ($3.50), 2009 UD Jersey/Auto/99 Daric Barton ($3), 2005 Bowman Chrome Draft X-Fractor Cliff Pennington ($5), and 2001 Fleer Autographics Eric Chavez ($4).

comcmiggygio.jpg
And finally, the only 2 cards in the entire shipment I paid more than $5 for. 1998 Donruss Crusade Green Tejada was $8 and well worth it. It's my first Crusade and it's gorgeous. There was a post on this board a while back that mentioned some instances of ridiculous prices in Beckett, and I mentioned that I'd be extremely glad to pay full BV for a 2004 Hot Prospects Draft Auto RC Gio Gonzalez/299, which books for only $8. You guessed it...I paid $8 for this one.

Thanks for the long read,
Richard

I got my COMC shipment today as well. Just under 200 cards, including a number of similar types (90s inserts) across FB, BB & BKB. I had close to 90 autographs. I think $6-8 was my top single card purchase as well. Opening the box reminded me of how fun the hobby can be if you don't get wrapped up in the hype of hot prospects and mega superstars, just good old fashioned player, team and insert set collecting fun!

Too bad neither of us could just go drive and pick up the cards, shipping was $47 for me and it would be way cheaper to just drive to Kirkland :p . Of course most of that cost goes to "handling" to pay for their business so I won't complain, I definitely want their business to stay healthy. The site is such a fantastic place for team/player collectors to pick up $2-20 cards as long as you're getting several shipped at once.

Yes, I thought the same thing. How nice that would be for local buyers, maybe a local pick-up option for a set fee. They would still make money and wouldn't have to spend the time or money for packaging/postage.

I am not sure where their warehouse is now (I heard it used to be in Redmond near Willows Rd, but I think they have since moved to a larger site) and I'm sure they would not care to have that location advertised with all the inventory they are holding on to!

Mine was around $25. However, I had already built that into my purchases and offers, knowing roughly 10 cents per card was being added on top at the end.

Nice pickups for sure! I have a package coming in from COMC as well but nothing like you guys got. Mine was just a mear 200 cards, mostly GU and inserts that I needed. Shipping is a beast but I also factored into my purchase. I did get these in this week to start December off right:

I got this one in today from a Bench trade...no autograph, but I still think it's sort of good...
