Good question, and the answer is simple.
I got all my Mauer cards signed already this spring + 5 OMLBs
I had nothing else for him to sign, and a buddy of mine gave me this card while Mauer was signing.
I did not want to go away empty handed, but I had nothing else for him to sign.
I started the spring with 6 cards and 5 balls for Mauer- and I ran out
