I really didn't know much of him either. I do remember seeing an article in the late 80s or so about having to sell his mvp trophy. It's too bad he couldn't have become a scout or something.I'm sorry I posted about not knowing anything about Zoilo except for his 1965 MVP. I read up on him and his life after baseball was beyond tragic. He was impoverished, had trouble finding employment due to his language barrier and was in terrible health before passing away at age 55 from a heart attack...Extremely sad and I'm sorry to read about his horrible post baseball life.
