Remember that Griffey/Randy $500 card?

A few months ago, when Ballpark first came out, the Griffey/Randy Johnson dual jersey sold on Ebay for over $500! Well, this week I picked one up for $36.00! May have still overpaid, but I was glad to get it. I've only seen a few on Ebay so far:

That is a very nice card...and that price cannot be beat!!! I would say you didn't overpay, at all.

Those two players (2 of the 3 best players in M's history) can't be on many GU cards together in a Seattle uni. Is this the first? Either way, I think $36 is still a tremendous price!

RJ and JR. have been involved in a total of 15 gu sets, but only 3 are with just the 2 players. One is the card in this thread, the other only has a RJ gu and the last is a dual gu/au card.

Cool! So this new one IS the only one with them together in a Mariners uniform. That is what aided in making that price so high before.

The rich japanese collector and someone who probably upset about losing to him (or for some darker reason)....had a bidding war....another one of the gu Randy Johnson and Griffey jr ballpark serial to #25 came on line about the same time as first one....and the second bidder who losted the first one....never placed a bid for it!!
