Hey, all. I pulled a rip card from 2010 A&G. It's Kyle Blanks, numbered 50/99. According to the reverse of the card, the rip card contains an authentic 1887 Original A&G, a 1/1 wood parallel or an original sketch card.

Should I rip it? Should I not rip it? It seems to me that there would be more demand for whatever is on the inside...

I've never pulled a rip card before. What should I do?

Unless it's a Tiger or a guy I happen to really like (or an original A&G), I would be happy to trade/sell it for something I find equally cool. I looked on eBay; there's a "ripped" Kyle Blanks up for $10; does that mean someone used an X-acto knife or something to remove the internal card surgically and the Blanks part still looks good? My girlfriend is artist of sorts and has an X-acto knife, and I have the patience to extract the internal card without touching the front if need be. (And if that's possible.)

I am guessing the "value" of the unripped card is $15-20...wouldn't any of the options inside be "worth" more?

when u rip it just the back gets messed up....dont put a knife by it...please dont...lol just rip if u decide to dont try to make it all pretty. its the same BV ripped or surgical removed....

Very cool...this is the kind of thing I am more than happy to hear from you folks. I put it up to the light and I can totally see where the internal card is.

I dunno...I am thinking that I will rip it this weekend, when I can really enjoy it. Am I right? It seems like unripped cards go for less than the stuff that come out of these cards, especially when it's a Kyle Blanks. (Maybe I would feel different if it were a Jeter or Pujols.)

Oh, and if I do rip it, I will be more than happy to post the results here. =) You can exult in my Jeter Wood 1/1 or laugh at me for pulling out a piece of paper that says, "ha ha, fooled you."

The suspense will kill us all!... But it's your choice when you want to rip it. Hope you pull a Jeter or an original!

If you want to trade it for $15-20 worth of something I'll be more than happy to find something you can use but you might want to check these out first.......

RIP IT!!!! The BV of the inside mini is between $50 and $100, so the inside is more valuable than the $15 Blanks. I'd rip it and hope for something awesome!

Well the Blanks is worth $15 ripped, it's worth waaaaay more than that unripped. I want to see what's inside as much as the next guy, but I have to be honest with the cardholder that it's not all fairy tales and roses. If you get the "worst" card inside, a super short print mini, sure it'll book for at least $50 but who knows what it'll actually sell for. I bought a Nick Swisher rip-exclusive mini recently for about $5.

Actually, doing research and seeing that unripped 2010 A&G cards sell for under $40 on eBay, my opinion is RIP IT.

I've got a Barry Zito A&G ripped card and you can't tell anything is wrong looking at the front, it still has the same eye appeal. I didn't get to rip it myself, paid a few bucks for it.
