I am sure the Carmelos are stamps. I got back one recently and pitched it. It looked like yours except like they had pulled the stamp across the card giving it a 'shadowy' effect. Billups has also been returning stamped postcards so guessing it is someone from the Nuggets helping with mail and stamping stuff for them

The Carmelo signature definitely looks like a stamp, just my opinion.
