Saving Abel was having a show here tonight at the Hard Rock casino. I went to the casino this morning around 7am since the bands always roll in early. They finally pulled in about 8:30am. Their tour manager got off the bus and I was able to talk to him a little bit...he told me the guys were still on the bus sleeping from their previous show in Nashville the night before, but he would make sure I got an autograph if I came back later.
I went back to the Hard Rock around 5pm and he told me that the singer (Jared) was the only one on the bus...he came out about 5 minutes later to head in for sound check and I asked him if he would be willing to sign my two cd covers for me...he was really cool about it and said he would try to get the other guys out too when he was done with sound check. About 30 minutes later he came back out and said the guys kinda scattered around the casino when they were done and didn't know when they would be out...he headed back onto the bus to get ready for the show, but came back out a couple minutes later with a stack of 11x14 photos one signed by the whole band (and personalized to me), and 3 others that he had signed for me as well. He said he could put me on the guest list if I wanted, but I had to get back to the house...I told him I would definitley catch them sometime soon. I was heading out and their drummer started walking out from sound check so I got him on my cd covers too. Not a bad day. I got two of the five band members on cd covers and the entire band on a poster...pretty sweet, definitely one of my favorite bands and favorite IP experiences!
