in years past I have always bought single screw card cases. Haven't bought hard cases like that in a long time. years.
I've seen some single card cases online that look to have a magnet securing the two halves together, instead of that screw.

For those of you that use/used one over the other, what's your opinion on them?
One better than the other? Screw cases a thing of the past?

Curious to hear your feedback on them

The magnetic cases are very handy. They have been known to partially open during shipping damaging the card. I have used both in the past and present and to be honest, the magnetic cases are so much easier to operate. The magnet holds very well for my use here around the house. I just wouldnt use it to ship an expensive card unless you use painters tape to ensure it doesnt pop open during shipping.

Thanks for the input. These cases are strictly for personal use. Using to store $$ cards. Only downside is see the screwdowns are having to have the screwdriver. Haven't had any experience the magnets.

Since this thread, I have since ordered the magnet case. Should be here any day now.

I prefer the magnetic case, they are easier to use and open and they protect the card just as well. That and you have to be careful with screw cases because if you can easily over screw them damaging the card.

That and if it isn't a perfect fit then the card can rattle around during shipping sometimes damaging the edges.

The screwdowns that I do have are recessed. Never, and I mean never use a screwdown thats not recessed.

If I send a card in a magnetic case I put it in a team bag and it solves the issue of the card coming out
