Sept 8th - A return from the Abyss

I finally opened my mailbox to a TTM return yesterday. This one I sent on August 27th of 2010 and it came back yesterday: Ben Zobrist c/o Rays. He signed 1 card and 1 custom photo, kept 1 custom photo that I offered to him and he included a signed religious card. A nice return and nice addition to my collection.

Awesome! I went to the same college as Ben--a small private Christian school in Illinois. He transferred the summer before my freshman year to get more looks at Dallas Baptist (I think). It worked out. He got drafted by the Astros, has been an All-Star, and has started in a World Series.

He spoke in chapel last year, and I meant to send a ball to the Chaplain (he's a friend of mine) to have Ben sign it. Never got around to it. Oh well.
