So I have about 600$ I'd like to spend on a case of cards or a handful of boxes...

I haven't bought boxes since 2006 (Hence my name) LOL. Has there been any fun stuff in the past 5 years, that will get a bang for the buck? I know 05 Absolute memorabilia update and a bunch of others from that time had some BIG pulls, but anyone recomend anything with good re-sale/trade value?

Let me know your thoughts.

I personally like going with Bowman. The sought-after prospects usually generate good re-sale value, plus the superfractors and other low numbered refractors sell really well too. It's also pretty cheap (just busted 09 Bowman Chrome today for 45 bucks), and a really fun bust.

Thanks. That's always been my brand of choice too. Almost think I should invest it in my teams rookies this year (Dustin Ackley and Michael Pineda) too. Knowing our GM's they will be traded or sold to a big name team soon enough :(

I know 2008 Upper Deck Heroes is still really popular on this site. Never bought a box myself, but I've seen a lot of nice pulls from those.

No problem. And who knows? You've kept Felix and Ichiro for awhile...

I personally love 2007 Sweet Spot Classic. I've pulled a Gerald Ford cut auto, but there are also a few downsides. The autos are faded, but UD will replace them and give you some nice value. Another problem is that the redemptions are too old to be redeemed, so you could get stuck paying a few hundred dollars for some useless cardboard. Lots of pluses and some minuses as well. :D :D
