Think PSA and Beckett need to make sure the slabs they are using are made up of a material not going to naturally; chemically decompose! They cost a lot of $ to get slabbed, would be a shame if any card decomposes while in a slab for years to come...Thanks Boots for the article great read!

That is VERY interesting! I have a friend who has gotten a LOT of cards graded and has spent what I would consider an exorbitant amount of money on the process. It is a shame that the slabs are poor for storage, since they have long been considered the gold standard. In comparison, I have never sent anything in, and have purchased 3 slabbed cards from fellow collector. Those 3 are all I have in slabs, and will probably be it for me (especially after reading this article!!)
