After the great Al Kaline return this weekend, thought it would be hard to top it, but went to Post Office on an errand and found 4 awesome returns. I received back my John "Mule" Miles Allen and Ginter card back and an extremely nice letter. I recently read there are only 39 ***** League players still alive, so this was great addition. (6 days) I also got back my 89 Upper Deck to Mike Maddux sent in Spring Training. Thought it was gone for shore, nice suprise. Last I got back both Carl Erskine and Roy Face on 1953 reprint cards. Mr. Erskine also answered my questions. Both in 10 days. I am going to the Tennessee Smokies game tonight to try to get Josh Vitters, Brett Jackson and Mariano Duncan. Back from my families mini vacation in the Smokey Mountains. Did get to go the Smokies game on Monday night. It was so hot, 98 degrees at 7:15 and the humidity. Only got 2 sigs, first got Josh Vitters on a Rawlings leather non official ball, I like it though. Also got Nate Samson on same type of ball. It was a great game. Upon return home, got back Mike Sandlock, in 7 days. Nice to get back an old Brooklyn Dodger. In his letter he talked about wearing *** Wee Reeces number while he was serving our country. Nice letter. Good luck to all of you.
