Have been busy and not doing much collecting but wanted to share my experience on May 21st. I took my four year old to his first major league game at the Rogers Center for an interdivision game between the Astros and Jaya. We went early to take in batting/pitching practise and as the sessions were ending Enerio Del Rosario simply walked up to my son and handed him the ball he was using along with a bright smile!! It was a very simple gesture that meant the world to my son and me. Jeff Fulchino and Wilton Lopez also took the time to sign my boy's ball. On the Jays side Nathan received autos from Raja Davis, Aaron Hill, Kyle Drabek, and Jo Jo Reyes. Well as a father son day you can't get much better. Thanks for reading this and thanks to athletes that carry themselves with class, modesty, and generousity!! Would like to hear other stories about father sons/daughters experiences!

Cheers,

Gordon

GREAT story !! i take my 2 boys ages 14 and soon to be 16 to Rockies games as often as I can. We always go early to catch a graph or two. The Red sox NEVER sign, the dodgers only sign 1 or 2 people. But they day we went to watch the Mets(my 2nd biggest team rival) Was an amazing day. Terry Collins(the Mngr.) came up to us, nor only signed for us but took pics with all of us, and then David Wright signed for us and a few others as well. I was so impressed. Of course the Rockies always sign and carry themselves well, but we have seen a lot of teams play and none impacted me the way the mets did, to take the time for a yankee fan(in yankee garb) and to be kind to all of the people waiting to see them was impressive. I agree with the big thanks to them.:D Great story and i am happy for you and your son, it is sure to be a day he will not soon forget.

Congrats!!!!

That's a cool story! Not surprised at all to hear that about Del Rosario. He's a heck of a nice guy. Glad to hear you guys had such a great time!

It always nice to see players take time out for the fans, especially the little ones. It does leave an impression. I am glad you had that terrific experience with your little guy...
