Hey guys, I went down to Biloxi, MS for the superbowl party at one of the casinos. Special guests were Goose Gossage, Barry Lyons, Hugh Green, and Bruce Laird. It was one of the coolest events I have ever attended. Goose and I talked for over an hour, and I now have an open invitation to send him anything else to get signed as well. He told me if he doesnt hear from me within a couple months he will take it personal, "because we are friends now, and friends dont go too long with out talking. Even if it is by mail." I also saw him sign a guys prosthetic leg which was definitely a first for me. Anyways, my total loot was:

Goose 5/5 1 SS OMLB with HOF 2008 inscr.
Barry Lyons 3/3
Hugh Green 1/1 Football

Here are the pics of the cards:

Nice successes. If you need anything to send to Goose, let me know. I have plenty of cards that I can send your way.

Thanks guys, yes it was indeed a blast! We did talk about TTM as I told him I had sent him a card a few years ago that he signed and said he didnt mind signing at all. He said that was his way he knew people still remembered him. I then asked him about getting into the HOF and he said always tried to keep the mentality of a rookie so that he would try harder if he thought his job was on the line. He said he retired because the frenzy he would work himself into before games became harder and harder to achieve.

You better send to him! You don't want him to take it personally, ya know! :D

Sweet successes, except for the Lyons ;) I'll will never forgive him for barreling into the Cardinals dugout and breaking John Tudor's leg on a foul that couldn't be caught. I would love to give him "the business" about that.

Oh wow! I almost forgot about that! That was Lyons, wasn't it?

Awesome story! Goose sounds like a great all around guy. I would love to meet him.

If you need cards to send him too I have 1 or 2 around here.

Congrats on meeting him and hanging out with him!

Of course they have a decent event after I move away, thats about right. Ohwell! Nice successes! :)

Actually Andrew, Goose said he has watched the SB at that casino in Biloxi every year since 1996. I was shocked he has been coming there for 15 years and this was the first I heard of it.
